Samoyeds are a high maintenance breed. They are not for everyone. They are generally good with children and are happy-go lucky, love everyone type of dog. They also have a lot of energy and will become destructive if not allowed to exercise properly. A fenced in yard is required. They like to chew and will chew you out of house and home if left unsupervised. They love people and need to be part of a “pack”. They will bark, howl, dig and chew if left alone. They are smart but stubborn and will challenge you on everything, They also shed which can be overwhelming at times. They love to “work” and can be trained to do most any dog activity.
History
Skilo is the Greek word for dog. Since I am Greek and Sammy puppies sort of look like polar bear’s I decided to name my kennel Skilo Bear. I have been breeding and showing Samoyeds since the late 1980’s. . I am an AKC judge, Past President of the Minuteman Samoyed Club and Concord Dog Training Club. I am a member of Samoyed Club of American and am an AKC Breeder of Merit. All dogs that are used for breeding have all the required health clearances and are healthy and free of any health issues. All dogs owned by me are CHIC clear.

All my dogs go back to “Corbyn”. He has a great personality and work ethic. He has been a therapy dog since he was 6 months old. He has visited nursing homes, rehab centers and currently he is the reading dog for our town library. Every month kids flock to story hour so that they may cuddle with corbyn.
